Singing superstar Susan Boyle was in Glasgow this morning to help the volunteers from PoppyScotland in their fundraising.
Roy Dale, volunteer poppy seller, said: “I was drawn to the cause because of my family, my grandad fought in the Second World War, and I wanted to help.
“I think young people sometimes forget about veterans, so it’s great that the Scottish Poppy Appeal pushes the cause year on year.
“The people in Glasgow are quite generous anyway, but it helps to have a megastar onboard!”
