Glasgow Shoe designer making big strides

Shoe designer Emily Lamb’s spring/summer 2011collection is now available to buy online for the first time.

Following the launch of her company at the end of last year, with assistance from The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust, 24 year old Glaswegian Emily Lamb was soon tipped as Scotland’s hottest new shoe design talent. Now her shoes can be bought online at www.emilylambshoes.com

The online launch follows Emily’s acceptance onto the prestigious Centre For Fashion Enterprise’s market entry programme. Having recently helped launch such upcoming designers as Peter Pilotto, Erdem and Richard Nicoll, Emily hopes that the CFE will help her follow in their footsteps.

Lamb’s spring/summer 2011collection comprises 11 styles featuring a colour palette extending from nude, emerald, red, dark brown and silver to pink, the Emily Lamb spring/summer 2011 collection offers a choice of both high (4.5”) and mid (2.5”) heel heights with each shoe having its own original feature, whether toe shape, pattern or stitching, in materials ranging from suede, patent and nappa.

The Cordwainer’s graduate said: “This collection is aimed at discerning women who are looking for the very best quality footwear that combines wearability – they are designed to be suitable for every occasion – with real style. Featuring an original yet timeless design, the collection will appeal to women who treasure high quality, beautiful footwear not found on the High Street.”

Emily Lamb shoes are handmade in the UK by craftsmen with many years of shoe making experience.
